Collection Perruches #1 Tatiana Defraine

Tatiana Defraine

€15.00

The Perruches collection is dedicated to bringing together conversations by artists whose practice interested in non-human animals. Each artist is considered as a “field” for study in the ethnographic sense of the term, or as a world to be discovered and understood.

Ces entretiens tentent de rendre compte des différentes relations que ces praticien·ne·s de l’art entretiennent avec le vivant. Pour ce premier opus, la collection Perruches a invité l’artiste peintre Tatiana Defraine.

These interviews attempt to capture the different relationships that these art practitioners have with living things. For this first opus, the Perruches collection has invited the painter Tatiana Defraine.

Abattre les arbres, boucher les fontaines, renverser les pierres

Pia-Melissa Laroche

Famous for my Dinner Parties - Issue 003

famous for my dinner parties

Periodicals €10.00

After the ‘best-of’ character of issue 001 and the mono-themed ‘food fad issue’ 002, number three is again somewhat more loosely conceived — less of a theme issue than a concept zine that aims to tap into certain elements of the zeitgeist. It consists of ten brand-new pieces in the form of essays, compilations of shorts, a still life series and even fiction — all circling around the anxieties of being alive in the world today and the way they reflect in what and how we eat. With pieces on chef culture, food diplomacy, paranoia about food safety, microwaves, internet urban legends and food crimes, the magazine’s graphic design takes cues from tabloid newspapers to fit the salaciousness and scandal-ridden character of its topics. Issue 003 is famous for my dinner parties’ signature blend of cultural criticism and bold, vibrant imagery at its best.

Sore 2

Anthology €15.00

Sore is a serial anthology that brings together authors whose writing practices oscillate between the genres of diary keeping and fiction. For the second issue of Sore, ten contributors – both authors and visual artists – were invited to collectively develop their work through a series of informal critiques over the course of five months.

In the first issue of Sore, observations of everyday life intertwined with memories and cultural references to denote the significance of a certain soreness we each carry within us as we negotiate the various challenges of social existence. In this second ensemble, seven new authors widen our understanding of the term ‘sore’ by underlining a need to orient one’s gaze towards what’s hidden underneath, to enter the anatomy of all these necessary contortions and u-turns one performs in order to escape the grip of expected compliance.

With contributions from: Mathilde Heuliez, Lisa Lagova, Muyeong Kim, Nour Ben Saïd, Masha Ryabova, Adrienne Chung, Richard Dmitri Hees, Oscar Le Merle, Morra Kozlitina, Tindra Eliason, Helmer Stuyt, Ilya Stasevich, Kristina Stallvik.
