It is with great excitement that we welcome you to the reopening of rile* on Saturday the 3rd of October. After a year and a half at Level5 we're happy to announce that we'll be moving to ARGOS centre for audiovisual arts.
We welcome you to our new space now open 5 days a week with street access and a beautiful big vitrine – (window shopping is now also possible). With a much larger and more accessible space we want to make it possible to spend time differently, with the books, the program, and one another.
On the 3rd, Argos will reopen with an exhibition on Tony Cokes. More info on their website https://www.argosarts.org
In the current global context spaces for public and community gathering have become increasingly ordered, virtual and difficult to access irl. We have seen first hand the necessity of investing in our local community, to provide space for meeting and exchange. To provide a space for accident and serendipity, to come together around things we don't yet know. This year the word 'unprecended' has frequented our conversations and feeds. Through it we express a resignation that we could not have known, could not have anticipated, the world as we are living with it now. It is through critical reflection and collective imagination that we can develop tools and strategies for navigating the speed of change and crisis that is the new normal. rile* remains comitted to fostering study as a mode of sociality and gathering.
In the coming months we'll be hosting a series of reading groups, presentations, launches and performances. If you'd like to stay in touch you can subscribe to our newsletter here on our website.

We want to thank everyone who passed by the shop and program, and supported the project at Level5 over the last year and a half. It really was a dream to start this project there and with you all. We will miss the great group of people working and passing through there, the beautiful view and the packed sweaty gatherings in the pink lit chapelle.
