[Launch] Métaphoriques Cannibales

Join us for the launch of Métaphoriques Cannibales, a transdisciplinary collection featuring the works of over 30 contributors and compiled by ɴon-ᴀ, taking cannibalism as an open concept and anthropopoiésis to study ideas of violence, othering, and the nature/culture divide.

The launch features a presentation of the publication by the editors, readings by Jana Zhiri and Chloé Clemens, and a small exhibition of paintings by Carole Mousset. We’ll end the afternoon around some (bloody) drinks and a bit of music.

Especially and only for the launch, the book comes with extra printed matter, a secret little goodie!

Schedule
15:00 - 16:00 Readings
16:00 - 17:00 Music and drinks

About Métaphoriques Cannibales
Métaphoriques Cannibales is a transdisciplinary collection featuring the works of over 30 contributors and compiled by ɴon-ᴀ, taking cannibalism as an open concept and anthropopoiésis to study ideas of violence, othering, and the nature/culture divide.

About the contributors
Chloé Clemens is a graduate of philosophy and creative writing, working with the ancient Greek theatrical canon and its possible contemporary reactivation, as well as around Walloon dialectal theater. She lives and works in Brussels.

Carole Mousset’s paintings focus on flesh and fluids. Inspired by eighties gore cinema and Cronenberg’s idea of “creative cancer” - showing the sickness’ point of view - she proposes new forms of dissection.

Jana Zhiri is a storyteller of brazen love stories, where the narrative world becomes the framework of a call for revolution from the heart. She lives and works in Paris.

ɴon-ᴀ is a transdisciplinary non-program for research and creation, weaving arts, sciences, spiritualities, militancies and sensitive perceptions.
