[Performance] Mean Time by Amina Szecsödy

Join us for the performance of Mean Time by Amina Szecsödy. Mean Time emerges from the space between the present and it's future. In an between space that pulls us from the unbareable present towards the not yet future. The work's protagonist, a female oracle, spins a choatic web of prophecies. Speaking in riddles she is frenzied and possessed. Mean Time is a textual and sonic work that offers a darkly surprising philosophical poetics while struggling for a grammatical tense in crisis.

Schedule
17:00 - 18:00  Performance

About
Amina Szecsödy (SE/BE) works across theatre, choreography, and performance addressing her instant surroundings and how they are documented. Her work engages text, sound, body, and movement navigating lingering effects of history and memory. Her ideas draw from newspaper articles, cinema, mythologies and the everyday to channel dissonant voices and phenomena of the past and the future in her immediate present. Via this process of ‘siphoning off’, Szecsödy carves out new complexities and combinations of language and gesture.
