Combien rêvent de créer leur propre magazine ? Comment s’y prendre ? Pensé comme un guide, ce livre rassemble des outils, techniques, ressources, conseils et idées pour qui voudrait se lancer dans l’auto-édition ou l’édition. Révolutions éditoriales, graphiques et artistiques - il questionne en même temps l’existence d’une pratique féministe de l’imprimé autonome. Un abécédaire subjectif, joyeux et non exhaustif imaginé par les fondatrices autodidactes de la revue Censored - issu de leurs expériences et de leurs rencontres.

L’objectif de ce livre est de divulger et transmettre la méthode employée par Apolline et Clémentine Labrosse pour publier Censored, de la maquette Indesign à la promotion, en passant par l’organisation interne. Accessibilité, budget, droits, écriture inclusive, La Poste, graphisme, obligations légales… Au total, plus de 60 mots pour transmettre leur vision, hacks et autres stratagèmes. Ce livre est le fruit d’un constat : alors que nous sommes nombreuxses à voir dans l’imprimé un pouvoir révolutionnaire et un terrain d’expression créative et de lutte - difficile d’obtenir des informations pour apprendre à créer un zine, une revue soi-même, à diffuser massivement ou localement. L’édition ne se contente pas de délivrer une recette concrète, mais présente également des observations et réflexions après cinq années d’exploration des nombreuses stratégies visant à amplifier les voix en marge et à transformer les imaginaires : du mouvement des riot grrrls à la création de structures plus officielles.

Ce livre est le deuxième publié aux éditions trouble. Il a été relu et amélioré par Isabella Utria Mago, Elvire Duvelle-Charles et Maria Tasso.

A collection of photographs from the archives of the icon of underground and alternative Parisian nights Dora Diamant.

A self-taught photographer, Dora Diamant has left thousands of photos. The Dora Diamant Association, custodian of this archive, and Éditions L'Amazone have joined forces to bring them to life by devoting a series of publications to them. Each volume of the Dora Diamant Archive was created by a different person and is the result of a subjective selection and arrangement specific to its author.

Figurehead of the Parisian underground and queer nights, photographer, DJ, multimedia and polymorphic artist, Dora Diamant was the daughter of Pascal Doury.

Phylactère est une revue annuelle à voix multiples, née du désir d’explorer l’écriture de l’oralité et les possibilités de retranscription de performance, à travers des visions authentiques, subjectives et spontanées. Donnant la parole à des amateur·ice·s, artiste·s, designer·s et penseur·se·s, la revue Phylactère regroupe des écrits de transition, assumant tous les glissements entre un script, l’action réalisée et sa traduction, avec une attention extrême et aventureuse pour la manière dont les contextes, gestes, émotions et espaces sont mis en jeu lors de cette retranscription.

Initiée par Roxanne Maillet et Auriane Preud’homme à l’invitation de Camille Videcoq lors de la résidence Entrée Principale (Marseille), Phylactère conjugue pratique graphique et éditoriale et démarche curatoriale en intégrant au processus de publication l’organisation de différents événements. 

Pour son deuxième numéro, Phylactère prend pour titre l’onomatopée Oh là là !

The Posttraumatic is a newspaper created by creatives and artists. [eng, cast, cat]

Why a newspaper? The project believes that a newspaper is an important link between our social reality (built over the centuries by three-headed monsters and the occasional fairy godmother) and the individuals who live in it, because it is an essential communication element and because its content is a fucking drama almost always.

When Ulrich Beck, a literate man, assures us that “the media does not respond to the inspiration of the enlightenment but to that of the market and capital” we can only read the news with a distrustful and defenseless frown. Uncle Sam manipulates us to his likings and we satisfy our appetites by feasting on his words as if they were cocaine-coated cookies that only serve to fatten the need to win over arguments at our neighbor’s dinner-table conversations. We do not know if the information we swallow is invented, bought, if they are news clippings curated by a 4channer´s paranoid imagination, or if it is an objective, absolute, eternal truth.

Based on these fatalistic, dramatic and somewhat depressing theories on news and their consumption, 39 artists were contacted and each one was granted with a space, a sort of an article, to do whatever they wanted with it. It has not been intended to generate any specific ideological discourse and there is no gift flag.

This special, limited-edition issue of Plaster celebrates Akomfrah’s commission for the British Pavilion at the 60th International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia. The linen presentation box contains: an essay by Akomfrah’s long-time friend and collaborator, the BAFTA-winning film curator June Givanni; an interview with Akomfrah by Harriet Lloyd-Smith; original portraits by photographer Siam Coy and a fold-out poster featuring an exclusive still from Akomfrah’s film installation, Listening All Night To The Rain, now screening in the British Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
